A Beautiful Day, A Beautiful World

Today was a fantastic way to end a great week, with probably one of the best walks I’ve ever taken, to round off the week.

This week saw me I surpass 300 SoberDays on Wednesday, I celebrated this with friends at my first Church Small Group, it was a nice way to spend it, with some friends who have supported me over the last few months and with new friends I’ve met at the group.

I have to say I have been blown away by the response to my post “Opinions”, from last night, I actually started thinking about the content of this post after the small group meeting on Wednesday, as we had discussed how to approach the subject of faith with none Christians.  Then Friday I read that two of my friends here on WordPress had received negative comments, bordering on abusive, to some of their posts, so I decided to go with the post I had been preparing in my head over the last few days.

I am so glad that you agree with my views or should I say opinions on opinions, we all support the right to free speech, but we will not be bullied into accepting the misguided views of others, especially those who seem unable to tolerate anyone with views that differ to theirs and try to force their views without either courtesy or common decency.

But all in all, it’s been a great week and it’s been a beautiful day, I witness some great sights this morning, which I have shared in my posts throughout the day.  Shortly after the moon disappeared from view and daylight began to smoother the night, a song began playing on my iPod, a song that just summed up the moment, what better a song to honour the moment.

Sunlight creeps in between the curtains
Lose the sheets there’s no time for sleep
I lie, I pretend, til Im almost certain
Its a beautiful world

able to sort it outcongratulations and jubilation on 300 days drink free….the next 300 will be even easier!

Cyber-bullying is so easy and this is why some do it because they are too cowardly to be open. Can’t they just be deleted from the blog…if not WordPress should be able to get it sorted

      Thanks Patrecia
The first 300 have been a real rollercoaster at times, so hopefully the next will be a lot easier.
We should be able to block people, I don’t know why that option is not available, although I have come across a couple of blogs where you have to request access, but I’m not sure how to set that up or whether I would want that.

      Thanks Clem
Everynight I count my SoberDay as I write in my journal, it keeps me going, and the feeling that I will wake up alive and sober is fantastic.
      Thank you

That’s no problem, feel free to camp out here as long and as often as you want, I’m glad you enjoyed it here.
I look forward to spending some time camping out at your blog also.
