Fortress Of My Mind
Don’t try to invade my mind
To attack the beliefs I hold
It’s fruitless to send your armies
To attack the legions of my cells
My skull will form a fortress
Protecting my sanctuary within
The population of my thoughts
Will raise an army with which to fight
I’ll trust in what I hold inside
To stand tall and resist with pride
The strength of my convictions
Will repel your intolerance
And I will not be brainwashed
By the opinionated kind
My truth will hold intact
Aided by my heart and soul
But when what I have inside
Is no longer strong enough to resist
I’ll turn to Christ, our Saviour
For the strength and words to fight

Strong words … great!
Hi Anne
Thank you, I didn’t intent to write anything else last night, but the words came into my head as i brushed my teeth and after praying, so I just went for it while they were there.
