Traveler’s Song

Saturday night/Sunday morning I couldn’t sleep, I got about 3 hours sleep overall, so I skipped walking that morning.  I took a steady walk to Church, on the way as I passed the Railway pond, I came across this guy/girl, how do you tell the sex of a swan? I sure someone will tell me, but regardless, it was I wonderful sight, that I actually stopped to capture, not a quick snap and the rush onwards.

As I posted I didn’t walk yesterday at all, apart from a walk later to our Connect Group meeting, other than that there was no hammering of the pavement or cycle track, I had no energy to do any of that.

Today, the sun is out again and I don’t feel like just staying in, so I’m going to take a walk, but with a difference, I’m not going to pound the pavement, I’m not going to walk as fast as I can for as long as I can!

For once, I’m going to try at least to take a steady walk, taking in all that’s around me.  I’m not going to set my pedometer, or check my pace or try to work up a good sweat, I’m going to walk, just walk.

I’m going to put my headphones on, listen to some inspiring music, take in the beauty of my surroundings and walk with God.  I going to throw any issues that are troubling me His way.

I’ll take my camera and as usual share anything I find to photograph with you later.

If you travel here, you will feel it all
The brightest and the darkest
If you travel here, listen to your heart
And take with you what lasts forever
