You Sang To Me In My Darkness
You called me in the night
But I was just too busy
Floating in my bottle
You sang to me in my darkness
Only I was filled with anger
Sinking under my life
You held me in my deepest torment
Yet I turned away in hatred
Drowning in my nightmare
You never let me go through it all
Only I never knew you were there
Caught up in my desolation
But now I’m awake, now I’m alive
I see all the moments when
You reached out to me
Now I know what You did for me
You held me tight all along
Giving me a new life
By Your Grace I face each new day
Your promise lights up a soul
That will live forever thankful
Still praying for you, brother. you are precious to God, always. He is committed to you. Peace be unto you!
Hi Daryl
Thank you so much, that means a lot.

Blessings brother,
This is a nice piece, and I can truly identify with this fact being revealed. However, His amazing grace is sufficient for all, and only He can help us overcome any addiction. Keep your head and your eyes on Jesus for He will never fail you, nor forsake you. Praise God! Many blessings to you and yours.
Thank you, He certainly has brought me through and beyond my addiction, I will hold on to him forever.

This was beautiful. I wonder how many times I miss out on the song being sung because I’m more focused on my addiction?
I think there are many out there who will never hear and never come to know what’s is being done for them, than God we finally heard and found a way out.

Very fulfilling and interesting write. Written with a gentleness about it.
Thank you so much, that’s very kind.

She knew how much you loved her. Nan’s know, and if you think she isn’t still watching over you, you are a bit crazy. š
Hi Katie
I know she would know how much I loved her, it’s just I can never seem to say those important words to the right people at the right time, I guess that’s why my relationship with Victoria is such a mess, I’ll learn on day. But thank you, I am a little crazy.

A beautiful hope-filled poem about grace. Lovely! You have travelled a painful path, Wayne, but now there are doors of opportunity opening for you to share your story and bless others in the process. Thank you for reading and following my blog. I am honoured to return the favour. God bless you and yours. š
