Broken Mirror

Broken Mirror

Looking in that old mirror
I saw the ugly side of me
A side I never wanted to see
A man of no worth
Broken, beaten, without a hope
A painful sight, just hard to take

I looked deep within
Directly into that vacant stare
Of a face I no longer knew
Until I couldn’t look no more
That life was over
Time for a creation new

Through the grace of God
Together We broke that mirror
The past was finally shattered
Smashed upon the ground
So now when I take a look
Looking back is a face made new

This one made me smile. I have a Sunday School lesson coming up on June 23rd talking about the NEW that we have in HIM. It’s a thought that one could never tire of being reminded. I have added a link to this poem within my lesson. Be blessed πŸ™‚
