One Of Those Moments

Just a thought from this morning, as my route to work takes me through the cemetery, I always spend a few minutes at my Nanna’s grave, every morning I stop for a while and pray.

After giving thanks for the change in my life over the last 18 months, I prayed that my doubt be removed, that seeds of hope are sown that will grow into belief.

That was when I got that feeling, as if I got the answer to my prayer there and then, I felt like I was being asked;

Why do you give thanks for the great changes I have made in your life,
yet you still have doubt that I can answer your prayer?

It’s true, I give thanks for the miracle of new life I have been granted, yet my belief that He can still answer my deepest prayer fails.  My new life was a gift and as this all started to take shape before I even started to pray and before I accepted Christ as my saviour.

Time to stop doubting, time to believe, to take up that march
and await the sound of trumpets.

THE ANTHEM by JESUS CULTURE
I can hear the footsteps of my King
I can hear His heartbeat beckoning
In my darkness He has set me free
And now I hear the Spirit calling me

Wake up child
It’s your time to shine
You were born for such a time as this

I can hear a holy rumbling
I’ve begun to preach another King
Loosing chains and breaking down the walls
I want to hear the Father when He calls

This is the anthem of our generation
Here we are God, shake our nation
All we need is Your love
You captivate me

I am royalty
I have destiny
I have been set free
I’m gonna shape history

    Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
    Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “Lord, I believe;
    help my unbelief!” Mark 9:23-24

    Lord I believe, help my unbelief. That simple prayer is one that I pray every day. Faith doesn’t always come easily.

    Thanks for this post. 🙂
