This last week I seem to have been constantly reminded not to get lost in the now, but focus on the journey ahead.
BELIEVER by KUTLESS
I can see thru the laughter
I know you’ve cried your share of tears
But you don’t have to do this by yourself
You tell me that you feel abandoned
Carrying the weight of all this pain inside
You trust in someone else
But you’re crying out for help
I’m a believer
That He’s strong enough to hold you now where you are
I’m a believer
In the One who’s always reaching out to your heart
He understands you
There’s not a greater love that you’ll find in this life
I’m a believer in Christ
You’re trying to escape the landslide
Running from the choices that you’ve made
When will you surrender to His grace
He promises He’ll never leave you
Offering to free you from your past
Cause that’s the sacrifice He’s made
He can be your shelter and your strength
No matter what you’ve done
Or how far you’ve run
There is hope for you
For every broken heart
He’ll meet you where you are
He will rescue you
Let Him rescue you
John 8:10-11 comes to mind… “Jesus stood up and said…’Has no one condemned you?… Neither do I.” He was the only one who could have rightly picked up a stone and justly hurled it at her head. But He didn’t. If God Himself has chosen to forgive us then we too need to drop the rock that is pointed at our own heads. Self forgiveness is hard, perhaps the hardest, but necessary nonetheless. Blessings
Hi Petra
Self forgiveness is one of the things I struggle with most, especially as the consequences from my past catch up with me every now and again. But I am doing my best to look forward now and not back.
Thank you for your comment and the verse, it really has helped.
Wayne
I’m very glad that the verse has helped and pray that it will continue to do so as you journey onward. Blessings
First, Wayne, a big THANKS for being the 600th follower of TheDailyGraff.com! For 3 years, I always visited the blog of a new follower to thank him or her, but the pace of new followers has accelerated to the point that I couldn’t keep up, so I stopped trying just last week.
I only made the exception for you because you helped me reach a milestone. Actually, your being the 600th follower is a “God thing,” because I am a Christian man who reached a real low point in my Christian walk yesterday, and NO ONE needed your message in this post more than me. The beautiful photo and Scripture quote were like living water for a dried-up soul. You’ve just gained a new follower.
I hope TheDailyGraff can bring you a smile (or at least a groan) every weekday!

Please feel free to drop by anytime.
