Wake up Oh Sleeper, wake once again
I know that you remember
When I woke you once before
From your dark slumber
Hidden beyond the shadows
I called you back then
With my arms help out wide
When you heard my call
I watch you rise and fall in to my arms
Wake up Oh Sleeper, wake once again
I’m calling for you once more
You worked so hard for so long
I’ve let you slumber for a while
But now it’s time to rise again
Come walk with me in the morning sun
For I long to hear you sing to me
To talk to me about your heart
And all that you hold true
Oh wake Oh Sleeper, it’s your time once more

This morning I heard the words “Wake up oh sleeper” in a song and the words to this poem began to write themselves in my mind. I guess I have slumbered for a while and now, now it’s time to wake and rise once more.
