Night And Day – 1 Thessalonians 5:5
How can I stand
Here beneath these shadows
As though I am
A child of the night
He who call me
His beloved child
Assure me that I belong
To the wonder of the light
But I feel dark and lonely
Like shadows of my heart
Have taken control
And I can no longer face the day
So I look now to Him
In Him my only hope
And I hold on so tightly
Praying this night will pass me by

Sadness is a wonderful emotion for Believers, I think. For we have the Promise of the LORD’s Light and Peace and Joy to fill us as we are ready. Sadness is a tragedy, however, for the UnBeliever. For they have only the darkness to look into; for they look only into their own hearts, their own souls.
Thank You Lord for Your Light that Shines upon us, and for Your Love that binds us to one another and to You. AMEN.
Lord Bless, Keep, Shine. . .
You are not alone. We all have nights and days like that.
“I pray that God, the source of hope, will fill you completely with joy and peace because you trust in him. Then you will overflow with confident hope through the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13) ❤
I am inspired by your poetry that expresses emotions from Bible verses. Keep writing. You have a God call.
