The Betrayal – Matthew 26:21-22
If I was at the table?
Would I question my heart?
Or would I look around?
To the guilty faces of others
Though I may not have taken the silver
I’ve sold You out in so many ways
And still I sit here
Feeling I am the one who betrayed
Is it my doing that they led You to the cross?
I know You died for me
I know You gave Your life for me
Now I am wasting that life
That one that means so much
That’s my betrayal
The one that pains my heart
