Even though
I was broken
Even though
I was lost
Even though
I lied through life
Even though
Addiction had took it’s toll
He saw enough
To lift me
He saw enough
To trust in me
He saw enough
To make me strong
He saw enough
To wipe the slate clean
How great is our Lord
Who Else? – 1 Timothy 1:12
Who else would take a chance?
Give life to one so lost
There I was in my dirt
Turned my back on all I love
Feeling no longer needed
No love of those close
At the seeking of the end
There His love began
Now the One gave me strength
Gave me hope to rise again
Put trust in the untrusting
Gave me life to live again
Who else would do this?
Give this child a second chance
Only the Lord of eternal grace

And from the shadows
I walked towards His light
A soul wrapped in cobwebs
Was released from the night
New strength to these bones
A new hope in this heart
The Lord showed me trust
Gave to me a purpose
Now it’s me who has to trust
And keep walking in this light

I remember the night I made my first prayer, I prayed only for the strength to get through, I was then an alcoholic looking for a way back to life, I had made it through the night without drinking and I thanked the Lord for that peace and asked for the strength to break the habit.
Over the coming weeks the habit was broken, at times it was hard, but I kept praying for that strength and He kept answering every prayer. That was back in back in March 2012 and that strength has been with me ever since.
