Fear and anguish
May swim through our bones
Saturating the heart
Shaking the soul
But in our faith
We have the Spirit within us
Not of fear
But of strength and love
So seek the Spirit

In times long before
My resolve would count for nothing
To dance with the poison
To concede unto it’s pull
It led me to the darkness
Where I was lost with no way out
All doors seemed to close
And the dance came to a halt
Then the light came flooding in
A moment to seek new life
Drawn out to another light
He separated me from my deceiver
Now as time goes on I fear it not
My control reigns supreme
Never to let it take me again
With Him I have the power to overcome
Now it is I live again
Now it is I find it within to love
Only through His enduring grace
His mercy and His love

I called out for direction
I cried out for Your strength
The path that stood before me
Became distorted
Rugged and overgrown
My heart became so weary
My strength was worn away
So I cried out for the spirit
To rebuild a timid soul
To place strength within a fading heart
Then Your spirit fell upon me
I stand to walk again
This fire ignited within my heart

It’s one of those night I fear the most, tests to my sobriety, a wedding reception, I just needed a reminder, some inspiration, after all one more week to the two year mark!
FIND YOUR WAY by THE AFTERS
Don’t believe, the bridge from you to me could somehow ever be washed away.
Don’t give in.
Don’t start listening to voices whispering things I’d never say.
There is nothing you could do to make me turn my back on you.
You’re never to lost to know where the road is.
It could be dark, you could be hopeless but I’ll wait ‘til you find your way.

The hardest part is to just sit waiting.
