Trust me, I've been there, I've looked, I've searched and I know now, that there are no answers to be found in the bottom of a bottle or on the edge of a blade! Fighting Hard, Recovering, Rebuilding, REBORN. Moving on from addiction to a new life.
I’ve heard the Spirit speak Turn my inside to ice It raised me from my seat To a place uncomfortable It said to step out from who I am To do the unbelievable at His command To conquer the fear of another soul’s heart To set them on a path with God So here I am Spirit call again Raise me up from the comfort I am in
I’m not sure that I truly listen and trust in the Spirit all the time, do I hear His calling for me to step forward and act on His behalf, or do I believe this can’t be me, I’m not capable of doing this and shy away from it.
Somehow I have got to learn to trust His voice me, He believes in me more than I believe in myself.
LEAD ME ON by JENNY SIMMONS Shoulder to the wheel for someone else’s selfish gain Here there is no choosing, working the clay Wearing their anger like a ball and chain Fire in the field, underneath the blazing sun But soon the sun was faded and freedom was a song I heard them singing when the day was done Singing to the Holy One
Lead me on, lead me on To a place where the river runs into your keeping Oh, lead me on, lead me on The awaited deliverance comforts the seeking, lead on
Waiting for the train, labelled with a golden star Heavy hearted boarding, whispers in the dark “Where are we going, is it very far?” Bitter cold terrain, echoes of a slamming door In chambers made for sleeping forever Voices like thunder in a mighty roar Cry to the Lord
Lead me on, lead me on To a place where the river runs into your keeping Oh, lead me on, lead me on The awaited deliverance comforts the seeking, lead on
Man hurts man Time and time, time again And we drown in the wake of our power Somebody tell me, why?
Oh, lead me on, lead me on To a place where the river runs into your keeping Oh, lead me on, lead me on The awaited deliverance comforts the seeking, lead on Lead me on, lead me on To a place where the river runs into your keeping Oh, lead me on, lead me on The awaited deliverance comforts the seeking, oh lead on
