The Fight – Deuteronomy 20:4

The Fight – Deuteronomy 20:4

Who fights for the broken
Battles for the lost
Who goes before the fearing
Comforts the beaten
Only One goes before
Only One battles for all
The Lord our God
Delivers the broken
Only the Lord our God
Fights for us all

Verse of the Day – 2 Corinthians 1:8–10

2 Corinthians 1:8–10

2 Corinthians 1:8–10

I am so thankful that God delivered me from myself, five years ago today His voice made me put down the knife and realise I needed to start living.

FIGHT by A ROTTERDAM NOVEMBER
You don’t fool me, whenever you’re around
You put on a show, as if hope is to be found
You don’t fool me, whenever you’re around

The cat’s out of the bag
Loneliness is all you have
When the world tells who you are
Learn to fight back and

Fight, fight, fight like you’re dying and
Breathe, breathe
Won’t you, won’t you breathe
No matter what happens tonight
You’ve gotta wake up in the morning and

If I were drowning, would you see my hand break the surface?
If this were an S.O.S., would you ever get this?
Replace your mirror with, with a window
It’s the only salvation from, from the shallow

The cat’s out of the bag
Loneliness is all you have
When the world tells who you are
Learn to fight back and

Fight, fight, fight like you’re dying and
Breathe, breathe
Won’t you, won’t you breathe
No matter what happens tonight
You’ve gotta wake up in the morning and

Fight, fight, fight like you’re dying and
Breathe, breathe
Won’t you, won’t you breathe
No matter what happens tonight
You’ve gotta wake up in the morning and fight

(Fight, fight, fight like you’re dying
Fight, fight)

Fight, fight, fight like you’re dying and
Breathe, breathe
Won’t you, won’t you breathe
No matter what happens tonight
You’ve gotta wake up in the morning and

Fight, fight, fight like you’re dying and
Breathe, breathe
Won’t you, won’t you breathe
No matter what happens tonight
You’ve gotta wake up in the morning and fight

The Fight – 1 Timothy 6:12

The Fight – 1 Timothy 6:12

Are we still fighting
Or do we just exist
Am I moving forward
Or simply standing still
I’m called to keep fighting
Even when it’s all too much
But what am I doing here
Not moving am I stuck
Eternal life awaits
Am I too weary to take hold
Of all that awaits me
Through faith in my Lord
So here it’s time to stand
Take arms in His word
And fight for what awaits
Fight for the glory of the Lord

This Fight

This Fight

Sometimes I feel like I’ve fought the hardest fight
Still all I’ve fought for is falling away
Sometimes I feel I’ve walked the longest walk
To find the gate I’m heading for was never there
Am I to fall?
Should I give in?
Is my faith strong enough to carry on?
This fight
This walk
Is it all I dreamed it would be?
Is it all my answered prayers in the night?
Still I’m alive
I never died
I was given life
Not to be taken by my hand
He my saviour
Is at my side
Have I turned my face
Stop listening to the hope inside
His will for me to fight
His strength is in my beating heart
Can I feel it beat?
So why can’t I lift myself?
Beyond it all
What I see, is this the end?
Or a turning point in this road?
Why did I fight to just fall now?
To give in at the touch of pain
So I call to myself
Rise, rise again
It’s time to live
Time to release the hope from within

The Fight

The Fight

If He believes in me
Why can’t I see it
If He believes in us
How can we fail
An army at His calling
Bound to stand together
Yet still I feel I stand alone
Holding back
While His soldiers advance
I know I wear His armour
I know I carry His sword
Yet still I wait on something more
Before I start to take up this fight
Still David stood before Goliath
With no armour
Just a sling
And now I stand here with far more
Still waiting for the battle to begin
Yet before me it rages on
And I feel I still refuse to fight
But if He believes in me
Who am I not to advance
If He goes before me
Who can stand against
No giant
No great army
My Lord is at my side
So here today I pledge
It’s time to take up the fight

Your Fight (Exodus 14:14)

Your Fight (Exodus 14:14)

Let the night be quiet
See the chaos fall to sleep
There is One who goes before you
There is One to fight your fight
So rest tonight in His peace
Lay still and let Him take to battle
For tonight you are not alone
The Lord is at your side
So rest my friend
Let Him fight

The Fight

The Fight (Exodus 14:14)

We fight each day
A battle we cannot see
Foes we never know
Yet on battlegrounds all too familiar
Day after day defeated by our fear
To hopeless ends in vain we go
As we turn our backs to a Father’s voice
While we carry on in endless defeat
Until down upon our knees we do fall
Only then we hear the voice of the Father’s call

I am the Lord, your Father, your God
Lay it all down at my feet
For you need only be still
And let me fight for you

NOTE:
This image I have had printed onto canvas and now hangs in my room, a great reminder at the end of the day, when the battle has been hard.

I Can’t Fight No More

I CAN’T FIGHT NO MORE

I can’t fight no more
This frustration is beating me down
I feel it rising deep within
As the poison arrows
Strike from every direction
This anger rides the veins
Invading the heart
Extinguishing the fire within
Like a poison within soul

I stand at the centre
Of a lonely battlefield
Holding on with all I have
Yet slowly I fall
Upon my knees
Surrounded by darkened eyes
Where the fire behind
Died long before
I’m on my knees
I can’t fight no more

I can’t fight no more
I will stand aside
I can’t defeat the frustration
I have to stand aside
I can’t halt the anger
I will stand aside
I can’t conquer the fear
I have to stand aside
I can’t fight no more

I stand aside
To let You in
I’ve tried
Yet I can’t do it alone
I need You now
To fight for me
Please let me rest
Beneath the shadow of Your wings
And there

Let me be stayed
By Your Perfect Peace

Verse of the Day – 2 Chronicles 20:17

2 Chronicles 20:17

2 Chronicles 20:17

It is amazing to know that each fight I face, I never stand alone and it’s by His strength I have victory, not my own.

FOLLOW YOU by LEELAND & BRANDON HEATH
You lived among the least of these
The weary and the weak
And it would be a tragedy for me to turn away.

All my needs you have supplied.
When i was dead you gave me life.
How could i not give it away so freely?

And i`ll follow you into the homes that are broken.
Follow you into the world.
Meet the needs for the poor and the needy god.
Follow you into the world.

Use my hands use my feet
To make your kingdom come
Through the corners of the earth
Until your work is done
`cause faith without works is dead
And on the cross your blood was shed
So how could i not give it away so freely?

And i`ll follow you into the homes that are broken.
Follow you into the world.
Meet the needs for the poor and the needy god.
Follow you into the world.

And i`ll follow you into the homes that are broken.
Follow you into the world.
Meet the needs for the poor and the needy god.
Follow you into the world.

I give all myself.
I give all myself
I give all myself.to you.

And i give all myself.
Yes i give all myself.
And i give all myself.to you.

And i`ll follow you into the homes that are broken
Follow you into the world.
Meet the needs for the poor and the needy god.
Follow you into the world.

And i`ll follow you into the homes that are broken
Follow you into the world.
Meet the needs for the poor and the needy god.
Follow you into the world.
