Don’t Fear The Drought – Jeremiah 17:7-8

Don’t Fear The Drought – Jeremiah 17:7-8

Don’t fear the drought
The desolation of a life
Trust within the Lord
Be planted by the stream
That of living water
To turn around a life
Where fear has no place
And only the fruits of life
Are to be found

Planted – Jeremiah 17:7-8

Planted – Jeremiah 17:7-8

Will my drought ever end
Be there water for an anxious heart
A longing for a hope
To reach beyond who I am
To be planted by the stream
Where my roots feed on living waters
And a soul can grow again
Where all fear be washed away
Lord, I know I’ve lost the way
But this moment is here again
For me to place all trust
In the Father that I love

Dance Within The Stream – Jeremiah 17:7-8

Dance Within The Stream – Jeremiah 17:7-8

Here I long to feel the gentle pulse
Of the ever flowing stream
These roots have been exposed so long
They’ve dried up in the drought
I hear You say it will soon be over
To trust that prosperity will come
But all I see is the dry river bed
That long since carried the stream
So here I am ready to bear fruit
When the season turns once more
No longer to be exposed to the drought
But to dance in the living waters
So I trust in You, my Lord
And renew my faith in You, my God
In hope that come the new season
We all will dance in the streams with You

Beyond The Drought

Beyond The Drought (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

A warm wind blows
The heat it rises
And all around
The land becomes barren
This drought is upon me

So where do I stand?
My roots are exposed
As I gaze out upon the stream
My minds says run
Yet my heart says trust

In Him my saviour
I place my trust
And I know I’ll make it through
For in Him
I will still bear fruit

Verse of the Day – Jeremiah 17:7-8

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Jeremiah 17:7-8

When my roots are exposed, do I still trust in God through the drought?

Yet I’ve made it through, I’m still bearing fruit!

Let all the earth declare Your Name
Voices resounding heaven’s fame
Our God be praised forever

Flood all the earth with endless light
Raise up the streets from death to life
Our God be praised forever
Oh God be praised

Come let Your glory arise
And shine as the nations collide with Your story
Love overtaking our lives
Arise as our hearts come alight with Your glory

Let all injustice shut it’s mouth
As we join our hearts and start to shout
Our God be praised forever
Oh God be praised

Be unto Your Name
All glory and honour
Singing holy is our God
Holy is our God

Your life on display
Your strength in our weakness
Singing holy is our God
Holy is our God

How great is Your love
How great are Your ways
There’s nothing we want more
But to live for You God

There’s no other Name
More worthy of praise
Jesus let Your love be known

We’ll shine with Your glory
We’ll shine with Your glory
We’ll shine with Your glory
It’s all for Your glory

SoberDay 625… It’s Been Hard, But I’ve Made It!!!

It would be easy to say that the last couple of months have been all a bit of a mess, in fact it would be a bit of an understatement, I would say I have been a complete failure, I’ve certainly felt that way, if I’m honest I have felt that way for most of that time.

Jeremiah 29:11-12
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

But the truth is, I’m still living by the grace and strength I have been granted and each day I am still sober is never a failure, no matter what other trials I face, I have resisted any temptation to return to who I was, despite all the voices of deception that echoed around my my mind.

Jeremiah 17:7-8
But blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD whose confidence is in him. He will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.”

So today I put all that troubles me at the foot of the cross and give thanks for the strength that has seen me through to today, SoberDay 625 and pray for the strength and grace to keep this journey going.

2 Corinthians 4:16-18
Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Verse 1:
What can I give to You
What can I offer to a king
For all the love You’ve shown
For all Your mercy over me

I called Your name
You heard my cry
Out of the grave
And into life
My heart is Yours
My soul is free
Thank You God for saving me

Verse 2:
The rock of salvation
My hope is built on nothing less
Morning by morning
How great is Your faithfulness

You gave Your life upon the cross
You suffered once for all
You made a way
Jesus, in victory You rose
You made us all Your own
Now we are saved
