Of an empty life
Inner leaning
Upon a web of lies

A life of nothing
A web of despair
Until the moment

A voice rang out
Gone were fragile strands
Now a firm foundation
Upon which to stand

Times we all feel trapped
Stuck within the web
With no way out
Waiting
Just waiting to be devoured
We turn our eyes
From the path before
Turning our gaze
From He who goes before
Just to wander off
Encompassed by the web
Waiting
Just waiting to be devoured
So before we reach the web
Let us stay still just for a while
And feel the spirit that surrounds us
Holding to the Lord within our heart
So He will guide our way
Free from all the webs
So we’re no longer waiting
Never to be devoured
