Barren Lands – John 7:37-38

Barren Lands – John 7:37-38

In the barren lands
He asked for water
Over and again
Yet no one heard
The cries, the screams
Lost to the wilderness
Yet beyond the mountains
The Son of Man heard
He came with water
To the broken soul
To refresh, give life
To fill a man
With living waters
For when you ask of the Son
He sure will come
For the barrens lands
Overflowed with life
Where a broken soul
Could believe again
And write these words
For any than need them
That is you ask of the Son
For water in the barren lands
You too could live again

Thirsty Soul – John 7:37-38

Thirsty Soul – John 7:37-38

Thirsty soul
Longing heart
Searching
Looking for a way
Seeking hope
Oh my lost soul
Drink
Taste of His cup
Be satisfied
By living water
Of our Christ
Never to thirst
No longer to seek
He is here
Always
He is here
Forever

Wilderness (John 7:37-38)

Wilderness (John 7:37-38)

Have we walked
Through dry lands
Desperately searching
For streams in the wilderness
To refresh our souls
To satisfy our desires
Yet we kept on searching
Never finding
Our hearts looking in wrong places
To the dry river beds
Where our lifesong once ran
Endless searching
Until upon our knees
We finally fell
Calling out to heaven’s rains
And there He was
All along
Our Christ
Our saviour
Before our eyes

Holding out His cup
Living waters for our soul
Endless life within His hands
There it was all along
Within our reach
Even in the dry lands
There in the wilderness
So why I ask
Did we take so long to see?

His Cup

His Cup (John 7:37-38)

The dry and the parched
Wanderers in the wastelands
Of empty feelings
And hearts of lost hopes
Here I call you
To lift up your eyes
And see Him before you
The glorious Son Of Man
In His hands is a cup
He has waiting for you
Now drink from His cup
Of the living waters within
And be filled with new life
As those waters flow through
And never be thirsty
Or lost in hope ever again

Verse of the Day – John 7:37-38

John 7:37-38

John 7:37-38

As always, I am thankful for His living water, it quenched a thirst that I thought would never be satisfied.

DRINK IN DEEP by JAKE HAMILTON
Holy Spirit come
Holy Spirit stay
I need to feel Your fire
I need to feel Your gaze
I need to feel Your gaze

Won’t You come?
Breathe over me
Breathe over me
Breathe over me
Breathe over me

Just one drink
Becomes a river, just one drink
Becomes a flood, yes Lord
Becomes a flood, yes Lord

Drink in deep

Drink in deep
Drink in deep, yeah
Drink in deep, yeah
Drink in deep, yeah
Drink in deep, yeah
Drink in deep, yeah

Here we go, open it up
Open it up

Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates

Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates

Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates

Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates

Open it up
Open it up, Lord
Open it up, open it up

Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates
Open the floodgates

I need to feel Your gaze
I wanna see the fire
In Your eyes, in Your eyes
I am living for one thing
I am living for one thing

Oh, I see an open door
I hear the voice of an angel
Come up here
Oh, it’s calling, come up here

I see an open door
I hear a voice that’s calling
He’s calling, come up here
He’s calling, come up here

Open the floodgates
