Verse of the Day – Psalm 147:3

Psalm 147:3

Psalm 147:3

Eight months ago I felt so heart broken, everything in that moment felt like it had fallen apart, but God picked me up and put me back together.  Now eight months on I am physically broken after my accident, but my God still picked me up and is here with me as I recover for this too.

So many times has He picked me up, bound up my wounds and walked with me to a new day, for that I am ever thankful.

FIND ME by JONATHAN DAVID & MELISSA HELSER
I fall down upon the ground
Press my face against the earth
Till my heart it rises over my head
As the wheat it bows down low
When the autumn wind blows
I kneel before the One
I love

Find me grateful
Find me thankful
Find me on my knees
Find me dreaming
Find me singing
Find me lost in Your grace

Like the dust that You first held
In a garden where You knelt
Pull me up against Your face again
Till the breath of Your hope
Fill the depths of my soul
Till all I know is I’ve been
Found by love

Find me grateful
Find me thankful
Find me on my knees
Find me dreaming
Find me singing
Find me lost in Your grace

Like the dust that You first held
In a garden where You knelt
Pull me up against Your face again
Till the breath of Your hope
Fill the depths of my soul
Till all I know is I’ve been
Found by love

Find me grateful
Find me thankful
Find me on my knees
Find me dreaming
Find me singing
Find me lost in Your grace
Find me grateful
Find me thankful
Find me on my knees
Find me dreaming
Find me singing
Find me lost in Your grace

Find me grateful
Find me thankful
Find me on my knees
Find me dreaming
Find me singing
Find me lost in Your grace…

EARTH LIKE HEAVEN by JONATHAN DAVID & MELISSA HELSER
The dust that we were made of
Is calling us to free them
The earth that we were pulled from
Is crying, “liberate us!”

The dust that we were made of
Is calling us to free them
The earth that we were pulled from
Is crying, “liberate us!”

We won’t be satisfied
‘Till the earth looks just like heaven

We won’t be satisfied
‘Till the earth looks just like heaven

Like the waters cover the sea
Let the earth be filled with Your glory
‘Till the prayers You prayed become reality
And the earth looks just like heaven

We won’t be satisfied
‘Till the earth looks just like heaven
And the prayers You prayed become reality
And the earth looks just like heaven

Wake up you sons and daughters
You were made for so much more
Wake up you sons and daughters
Start singing, creation’s waiting

Your kingdom come, Your will be done
‘Till the earth looks just like heaven
Your kingdom come, Your will be done
‘Till the earth looks just like heaven

Wake up you sons and daughters
You were made for so much more
Wake up you sons and daughters
Start singing, creation’s waiting

She’s not dead, she’s just sleeping
She is waking us
She’s not dead, she’s just sleeping
She is waking us
She’s not dead, she’s just sleeping
She is waking us

She’s not dead, she’s just sleeping
She is waking, waking, waking, oh!

Like the waters cover the sea
Let the earth be filled with Your glory
‘Till the prayers You prayed become reality
And the earth looks just like heaven

YOU CAME (LAZARUS) by JONATHON DAVID & MELISSA HELSER
You stood outside my grave
With tears still on Your face
I heard You say my name
My night was turned to day

You came
I knew that You would come
You sang
My heart it woke up
I’m not afraid, I see Your face
I am alive
You came
I knew that You would come

You said death’s only sleeping
With one word my heart was beating
I rose up from my grave
My fear was turned to faith

You came
I knew that You would come
You sang
My heart it woke up
I’m not afraid, I see Your face
I am alive
You came
I knew that You would come

You are, a miracle-working God
You are, a miracle-working God
You are, a miracle-working God
You are, a miracle-working God
You are, a miracle-working God
You are, a miracle-working God

You are, a miracle-working God
You are, a miracle-working God
You are, a miracle-working God
A miracle-working God!

You came
I knew that You would come
You sang
My heart it woke up
I’m not afraid, I see Your face
I am alive
You came
I knew that You would come
You came
I knew that You would come
You sang
My heart it woke up
I’m not afraid, I see Your face
I am alive
You came
I knew that You would come
You came
I knew that You would come

You turn my fear into faith
You raise me up from the grave
You turn my fear into faith
You raise me up from the grave

You came
You came
You came
I knew You would come

Verse of the Day – 1 Timothy 4:12

1 Timothy 4:12

1 Timothy 4:12

Even as adults we can learn from our children, sometimes though we can be set in our ways and refuse to see it.  So let’s lead our children in the way He has set, but let’s also be ready to learn from them too.

EXPLODE MY SOUL by JONATHON DAVID & MELISSA HELSER
Whisper my name so only I can hear
Call to my heart, chase away my fears
Stand up in this place, fight for the one you love
Won’t you come surround me so I can rise above

Explode my soul, let these walls come down
All these prison thoughts crumble with the sound
Of my deliverance from my enemies
I stand up beside you, let’s watch these giants flee

Let the silence be broken, and the winter be done
Will you come out of your hiding, kiss me sweet warm sun
Let the wind of Your Spirit blow the dust off my feet
I ran to You broken but now I am complete

Hello promise land, we’ve waited for so long
To see what we’ve believed in, to sing this promise land song
Explode my soul, explode with praise
What he promised is what he gave

I feel wind in my lungs, and hope in my veins
I’ve seen with new eyes I’m seeing you yeah
Hello Promised land I’ve waited for so long
To see what I believed in, just to sing this song
Explode my soul, explode with praise
What you promised is what he gave

Verse of the Day – Psalm 40:1-2

Psalm 40:1-2

Psalm 40:1-2

As I quickly approach my five year sober anniversary this week, my mind is flooded with the memories of five years ago, when the Lord found me at my lowest and gave me the chance to live a new life.

THANK YOU by JONATHAN DAVID & MELISSA HELSER
How do I say thank You, Lord
For the way that You love
And the way that You come

For all that You’ve done
All that You’ll do
My hearts pours out
Thank You

You don’t have to come
But You always do
You show up in splendor
And change the whole room

How do I say thank You, Lord
For the life that You gave
The cross that You bore

For the love You poured out
To ransom my soul
My hearts pours out
This thankful song

You walk through all my walls
Conquered my shame
Stepped into my past
Fill my world with grace
You didn’t have to come
But You wanted to

I say Thank You

After another day where craziness has prevailed, after another senseless terror attack, it is in Him we need to place our hope, our hope that the lost of this world will find His unfailing love.

Psalm 107:28-31

Psalm 107:28-31

I remember when my now Pastor came to see me, the day after I had wanted to end my own life, he told me of the story of Jesus calming the storm, he said that was what I needed in my life.  Days later I began to pray for the first time in my life, from that point onward the storms began to be silenced, they have raged since, but each time the Lord calms them, I am forever thankful for His unfailing love.
