A Burden – Proverbs 17:17

So many fight alone
Anguish in near silence
They carry the burden in solitude
Until it all becomes too much
Have they a brother to help
A faithful one to share the burden
One for times of need
Helping words on time of silence
A trouble shared
A trouble halved
Yet so many suffer alone
Still we look on not knowing
Standing afar never seeing
I say reach out
It’s what the Spirit yearns
Speak truth unto their heart
May they hear in darkest moments
To lift a burden from their lives

I have walked so far
At times I have struggled
And when I have fallen
My Lord
You throw Your wings over me
Beneath them I find peace
Until I have the strength to rise again

Now by my side
You have place the faithful
Friends so full of love
In my despair they have been there
Singing songs of Your worth
Together they have prayed with me
And once more I rise again

I thank You for their spirit
I thank You for their love
For You provide me with all I need
And I thank You for the life I have

Ones Who Watch Over Me (Proverbs 17:17)

Why I am so alone
It’s the way I feel
From time to time
Ever though the Lord
Has led me to great people
To ones who watch over me
He brought me to their flock
Into their love
And their protection
Yet still I can feel so alone
Here within my troubles
Why do I choose to fight on alone
When my friends are all there waiting
To share the burden of my battle

For Those Who I Connect (Proverbs 17:17)

When I have fallen
They stayed by my side
And when I have cried
They’ve wiped away these tears

Through good and bad
They are here with me
We connect all before Him
He brought me these gifts

The love of these dear friends
Where would I be without them
They that live in His word
They that share in my troubles

Before them my heart is free
Release of my pain
Defeating of my fear
In the comfort of their company

So here I sit
Giving thanks to our Father
For those who I connect
His most wonderful gift

So thankful for the amazing people that the Lord has brought into my life, that I can share my story, my fears and my pain without being afraid.
