In The Weakness – Psalm 144:1-2

In The Weakness – Psalm 144:1-2

In the weakness
There was a way
In the darkness
There came a light
In the fear
There came a fortress
In the battle
There was a shield
In the end
There was the Father
In the beginning
There was new life

You My Rock – Psalm 144:1-2

You My Rock – Psalm 144:1-2

Under my net of shadows
You found me hiding
No spirit, no hope
Not until You filled my heart
Now I stand
Upon You my rock
The foundation beneath me
A new life built upon
When those shadows return
You are my shelter
When I have not the strength to fight
You are my fortress
The hope of my heart
My God who loves me dearly
He who brings me to victory
Over all those who stand against me
All praise to Your name
My God and my redeemer

To The Battle

To The Battle (Psalm 144:1-2)

Lord I’ve found you now and I’ve called on you
Your gifts of peace and strength
Have seen me through these tough days
Now Lord this morning I wake
For the first time in years
Free from these chains that have held me down
The bottle is now empty and has shattered into pieces
So now I walk from out of the debris
Freely into Your arms
Lord I know this is only a beginning
That this new life starts from today
So now the battle to stay free rages deep from within
Lord I beg you, be my rock
And the fortress from which I fight
Lord train my heart for the battles
Until this war has been won

Psalm 144:1-2

Praise indeed, is there much more we can say about our God.

DIFFERENCE MAKER by NEEDTOBREATHE
Yeah, isn’t it amazing how a man can find himself alone
Calling through the darkness for an answer that is never known
Yeah, isn’t it amazing how God can take a broken man
And let him find a fortune and then ruin it with his own two hands
And he climbs on up the hill, on the rock on which he stands
He looks back at the crowd, he looks down at his hands and he says

I am the Difference Maker
Oh, I am the only one who speaks to Him
And I am the friendliest of friends of God

Yeah, isn’t it amazing how a man can find himself so alone
Calling through the darkness for an answer that is never known
Yeah, isn’t it amazing how a God can take a broken man
Yeah, let him find a fortune, let him ruin it with his own two hands
And he walks on up the hill to the rock on which he stands
He looks back at the crowd, he looks down at his hands and he says

I am on the fence about nearly everything I’ve seen
And I have felt the fire get put out by too much gasoline
And we’re all strangers passing through places one afternoon
Life is but a vision in a window that we’re peeking through
Helpless conversation with a man who says he cares a lot
A passive confrontation about who might throw a punch or not
And we are all transgressors, we’re all sinners, we’re all astronauts
So if you’re beating death then raise your hand, but shut up if you’re not
