Firm Steps – Psalm 37:23

Firm Steps – Psalm 37:23

Do I trust?
Do I delight?
As I take all my steps
Or do I decide for myself?
Seek my own joy
As I walk through this world
But my steps on my own
Are never quite secure
I may stubble
But not fall
But still not so firm
What if I trust?
What if I place my delight?
In the Lord makes firm
All the steps that I take

The Journey Home – Psalm 37:23

The Journey Home – Psalm 37:23

So long the path
Many will have to walk
So far away they’ve wandered
Never knowing if they’ll return
Yet the sacrifice redeemed them all
The road home paved for their journey
And the Lord makes firm
The steps of those with a heart to return

Make It Home – Psalm 37:23

Make It Home – Psalm 37:23

We all stumble
We all fall
The world
Has place stone
Upon our path
To make the way
So very hard
And we try
Try so hard
To make it on our own
Our strength will fail
And we just find
We stumble
So nearly fall
But why alone?
Were we made to face the world alone?
To step upon the paths
With blinded eyes
In darker nights
When the word
The voice of truth
Rains upon us from heaven
To fill our mind and soul
To light the way
And if we hear the voice
If we listen to the Father
In love delight
In the greatness of our Lord
Our steps made firm
By the hand
Of our all loving Lord
And we will take
The path the Lord has set before us
No longer to stumble
On the rocks
Placed by this world
If we just
Hear the voice
And hold to his light
We will make it through
We will make it home
