This World We Live In – Psalm 78:8

This World We Live In – Psalm 78:8

Is this the world we live in
One to which I once belonged
A stubborn generation
Of hearts not loyal to God
If only they would know
If only they could find what I found
A God who love His children
Regardless of the mess they become
They could find Him waiting
For His children to come home
To be a part of the world that understands
What the love of God can mean

New Generation – Psalm 78:8

New Generation – Psalm 78:8

Will there be a generation to come?
One unlike their ancestors
Who have turned their back on God
Who refuse to accept His love
For we live in a generation
Who choose to ignore the truth
Who follow blindly current trends
To where it leads them to be lost in sin
So will there be a new generation?
Born into a world that loves our God
And raised to know of His love

Stubborn Hearts – Psalm 78:8

Stubborn Hearts – Psalm 78:8

So many before
Have failed
They have fallen
Of stubborn hearts
They made their way alone
Rebelled against the word

In this world
It’s what is seen
That captures the imagination
Set’s dreams within
The heart’s of men
What neighbours hold
The view of wealth
Is what drives
The desire of the living
Ever striving to stand
High over those around
Stubborn to the word
Rebellion to the way

So here we are
Chose among this generation
To be different
Not to chase the wealth
But to gain the worth in God
To talk His word
To sister and brother
Not turn away
Of stubborn hearts

We are the saints
Who  carry the love of God
The unending love
That is more than enough
To sustain our hearts
So the overflow
We should spread within our world
To the stubborn generation
That walk around us
We need to let them know
When the fear and cold is too much
For their hearts
There is a love
That will set them free
And it is theirs
When they’re ready
To let go of their stubborn hearts
