Weekly Photo Challenge: Good Morning!

After a week off work, it was a return to the usual daily routine on Monday or so I thought!

When I got to work I found out that we were short of yard staff and both the Assistant Manager and the Branch Manager would be in the yard most of the week, leaving me pretty much on the Sales Counter on my own most of the week, to say I’ve been tired this week is an understatement, but other than that it’s not been a bad week, apart from the weather that is.

From Saturated to Subtle

Weekly Photo Challenge: Saturated

After the vivid colours of the sunrise yesterday morning, this morning was a complete contrast, the light mist of the lake and the solitary patch of cloud in the sky made for a subtle colours, more of pastel than the saturated scenes of yesterday, but in it’s own way, just as amazing.

After a great sunrise yesterday morning, the only way to begin a great evening at Amplified, was a great sunset as I walked to Church.

As Ben and myself walked, we took a time out grab a few shots of a great sunset over Newark town centre and in particular the parish Church, enjoy.

Weekly Photo Challenge: From Lines To Patterns

Two weeks ago I chanced across a spiders web whilst on a long walk, through which I was able to capture the sunrise behind it.  Along the same route this morning, although there wasn’t the clear sunrise, just blankets of mists, but the moist morning air highlighted every spiders web along the way.

This made for some great images, with the morning dew hanging off the intricate patterns of the webs, with the misty sunrise behind.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Carefree

Friday evening was a great way to end a hard week at work.  I’ve been in this job for over 20 months now, but I’ve don’t think I have a week as challenging as this last one, it just never seemed to stop, hectic from first think Monday morning to last thing Friday.

So to the end weekend we held a BBQ at Amplified for our youth group at Church, both myself and Ben attended, even Victoria popped in with Eve later on, by that time though the kids had all gone inside whilst we cleared up outside.

As we search the storage areas for games to set up outside, we found a number of letters that had been used on stage previously, so as we searched through what letters we had, we tried to think of words to spell out and use, I came up with the word smile, so we set it up on the entrance for everyone to see as they came in, I do have the odd good idea every now and again!

The Sun set as the youngsters played a number of games whilst enjoying their burgers and sausages, it was just a great way to end the week.

Just A Baby, Growing Up To Quickly

Last week my daughter ran into the room brandishing a photo in her hand, when she calmed down from her hysterical laughter we found she had this picture of herself when she was just a few months old, she couldn’t actually believe it was her and that she may of actually looked like that once.

This was taken almost seven years ago, doesn’t time fly, now she’s seven going on seventeen, a real madame at times and at others the most loving little girl you could ever wish for.

There one thing she is expert at and that is giving her Dad a hug when he needs one and just lately he’s needed quite a few.

A bit of strange start to the morning, despite the warm weather this week there was a deep frost this morning, but the day moved on to probably the best day of the year so far, so good I even brought the shorts today and gave the little legs a bit of air, sadly I have no pictures of those to dare, not a great sight to be honest, so just the morning sunrise to share.
