To be tested
To be refined
Like gold and silver
To be formed to great worth
So when the fires rise
Never let go of the Lord
Stand the test of the flames
And be refined by the Maker’s hand

Have you walked in light?
Yet now you feel the flames
Wavering in this time of testing
Wishing it all to end
Hold strong my friend
For He is with you
As He refines you like pure silver
By your side forever He will be
As He tests you as pure gold
Then before you know
It all will end
And you will praise His holy name
Then deep inside you will know
That you are truly His

I know that with every test, I am being refined like a precious metal.  I sometimes still wonder why, why would our Lord do this for someone like me?
