Trust me, I've been there, I've looked, I've searched and I know now, that there are no answers to be found in the bottom of a bottle or on the edge of a blade! Fighting Hard, Recovering, Rebuilding, REBORN. Moving on from addiction to a new life.
Maybe I heard the voice But refused to hear I turned and faced the darkness Rested in it’s torment And when the darkness Finally took all my light A voice, a voice came ringing through One to say hold on To that voice I clung Until the coming of the light And a brighter morning star Brought new hope To the darkening of this heart
Has it been that long Since the night That followed my darkest day When into my life You sent a voice To tell me of Your worth To start the fire of hope That began to burn inside Has it been six years Since I contemplated life And You bid me to hold And sent me friends To lead the way home From that night Sorrow turned to joy And death to life For that I am ever grateful And to You I am ever faithful
And from the shadows I walked towards His light A soul wrapped in cobwebs Was released from the night New strength to these bones A new hope in this heart The Lord showed me trust Gave to me a purpose Now it’s me who has to trust And keep walking in this light
Have you spoilt All you’ve held Squandered all Entrusted to your hands In a past so lost Where shadows stole the hope Can you be trusted Ever again by the world Still our Lord is forgiveness And first you have to trust Believe as He speaks And hold tight His word If you keep it If you hold it His promise is yours to keep So let go the shadows Let slip the past And trust Trust in our Lord
The lots were cast So long ago Like the followers of their time For ours were cast By the Lord of all To call us to Himself We are the called As disciples of the Lord To spread the word Of Christ who died To preserve the freedom of all
Before His eyes The Earth will shake The glory of His creation Shivers as He looks on And at His touch Even the mightiest of mountains Tremble and shake Before His mighty hand Our Creator, our Lord May His glory endure From the beginning To forever May He rejoice in His works For He who made the Earth And He who set forth the mountains Also formed our hearts Knitted together our souls Each of us His creation To be counted in His glory
It’s not too late To turn around To come on home The Lord awaits His wandering child Bring who you are And all your family too He will see you flourish Cause you all to grow Just turn around Just come on home
