I Write – 2 Corinthians 2:14

I Write – 2 Corinthians 2:14

I write to spread the word
The aroma of who He is
I write for my voice is quiet
My fear holds back those words
In part I have broken that so I can write
And spread His word as best I can
And in this way I continue to share
As long as someone maybe listening

How Can We Not – Revelation 4:11

How Can We Not – Revelation 4:11

How can we
The created
Not give You
The honour

How can we
The children
Not offer You
The glory

How can we
The unworthy
Not sing You
The praise

How can we
The faithful
Not give You
Our all

After All The Chaos – Psalm 3:5

After All The Chaos – Psalm 3:5

After all the chaos
All the pain I caused myself
The sleepless nights
And all the tears
I sleep, I sleep
Through the peace of the Lord
I wake, I wake
Through the strength of the Lord
I live, I live
Through the grace of the Lord

Could I See The Vision – Matthew 16:28

Could I See The Vision – Matthew 16:28

Did they believe
The words He spoke
Could they understand
What was to come
They were with Him
Walked by Him
And ate with Him
But they still couldn’t see
The vision of what was to come
The death
The resurrection
In which we are a part
Still they couldn’t understand
And what about me
If I was in that group
Would I believe
Would I understand
Could I see the vision
But all became so
As it is written
And we are born again
BY what was to come

Trusted – 2 Kings 22:4-7

Trusted – 2 Kings 22:4-7

We have been trusted
To rebuild His temple
A temple of faithful
Faithful to the Lord
Here upon His earth
Trusted to build
Not to tear down
Trusted to carry out works
Not so shy away
And if we have been instructed
To build up His people
The knowing and unknowing
The faithful and the lost
The family and the lonely
Then let us not waste it
That which is within us
Given to us
To do our part
To do our best
For the kingdom before God

This World We Live In – Psalm 78:8

This World We Live In – Psalm 78:8

Is this the world we live in
One to which I once belonged
A stubborn generation
Of hearts not loyal to God
If only they would know
If only they could find what I found
A God who love His children
Regardless of the mess they become
They could find Him waiting
For His children to come home
To be a part of the world that understands
What the love of God can mean

This Broken Mess – Psalm 66:17-20

This Broken Mess – Psalm 66:17-20

And every time
This broken mess
Cries out again
Of open heart
With my praise
He, our Lord
Never turns away
He always listens
He always answers
He has never rejected
My cries or prayers
He has never removed
His love for me
Love for this broken mess

If All Seems Lost – 1 Peter 1:3

If All Seems Lost – 1 Peter 1:3

And if all seems lost
You’re alone and afraid
There’s a place you can go
Where He waits for you
In Him is the great mercy
And ever greater love
Through the resurrection
You discover a new life
And all the loneliness
Will than just fade away

She’s Alone – 2 Samuel 22:3

She’s Alone – 2 Samuel 22:3

She’s alone
She’s lost
Thinking a world
Hates her
She’s been told
No one’s coming
No one
Can save her
She hurts herself
Over again
To try to
Relieve her pain
She doesn’t know
There is One
One to whom
She can run
A refuge
A fortress
For all who
Choose to see
Will she find Him
Before it’s too late?
Before the street
Takes another name
And erases it
From this world?

He Was Always There – Romans 8:35-36

He Was Always There – Romans 8:35-36

And now I can see
That even before
In all those times
Before I even knew His name
He was always there
Even in the dark times
When death seemed a way out
He was always there
And even though I never knew it
He gave me strengths to carry on
He was always there
Now I Know that this is true
Nothing can separate us
From the Love of Christ
He is always there
